Community and collaboration

Young people 10 and over can also opt into the Bristol Learning Community programme of self-directed learning, which draws on a variety of philosophies and techniques, for supporting young people to identify and work towards their goals, without compromising their autonomy.

The programme blends Self Managed Learning with Agile Learning tools to create a dynamic and transformative experience, where young people explore their goals and collaboratively plan projects.

Three times a year we offer a development week, in which young people can develop a Learning Agreement in small groups, followed by weekly planning and review sessions.
